How to play
A pancake slides left and right above your stack. Tap the game (or press Space) to drop it. Whatever hangs over the edge of the pancake below is sliced off, so the next pancake is only as wide as what is left.
Land a drop perfectly and warm syrup runs down the side, and the pancake grows a little wider. Three perfect drops in a row make it grow even more. Keep going and the view climbs past the kitchen roof, above the clouds, into the stars and finally into space.

Tips
Watch the edge, not the middle. Pancakes come in from alternating sides, so line up the leading edge with the edge of the pancake below and tap a moment before they meet.
Chase perfect drops early. The first few floors are slow and forgiving. Perfect drops there build a wide base that lets you survive a few sloppy drops later.
Speed rises, then levels off. The pancake speeds up over the first dozen floors and then only creeps faster. If you reach floor 15, you have already seen the biggest jump.
Milestones. 10 pancakes, over the roof at 15, above the clouds at 30, a sky full of stars at 45 and space at 60. In our simulated play tests a typical run reaches about 22.

Is Pancake Tower free?
Yes. It runs in your browser with no download, no account and no in-game purchases.
Does it work on phones?
Yes. Tap anywhere on the game to drop a pancake. It works on phones, tablets and computers, and it lowers its own drawing quality on slower devices to stay smooth.
Where is my best score saved?
Only in this browser on this device. If you clear site data or use a private window, the best score resets. Nothing about you is sent to us.
Why did my pancake get thinner?
Any part that hangs over the pancake below is cut off, and the next pancake keeps that smaller width. Perfect drops make it a little wider again.
Is there sound?
Yes. Sound effects and light background music start after your first tap. Press the Sound button or the M key to mute; the game remembers your choice. Every note is generated live in your browser, so there is nothing extra to download.
What do you measure?
Only anonymous totals: how many rounds start and finish, how long rounds last, how high stacks get, and the thumbs-up/down votes. No cookies, no IDs, no saved IP addresses. If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, the game sends no automatic play stats; a vote is sent only if you tap it yourself.
