Privacy

Last updated November 6, 2026

Short version: we don’t collect your names, emails or draw results. There are no accounts, no cookies, no third-party analytics and no ads.

Secret Santa generator

• The names you type, the draw and the encryption all happen in your browser. Nothing is sent to us.
• Each result is encrypted with its own random key. The encrypted result and its key are stored in the part of the link after the #. Browsers do not send that part to any server, including ours.
• Anyone who has a link can open it, so send each link only to its owner.

Games

The games count anonymous daily totals only, such as “rounds started” and “rounds finished” for each game. Votes, “what should we improve” choices and comments are optional and are sent only when you use them. There are no cookies, no user IDs and no saved IP addresses, and no third-party analytics: the counting runs on our own small server code, not on an analytics service. If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, no automatic play stats are sent. Exactly what the games store.

What is saved on your device

To help you, the page keeps a few things in your browser’s local storage. They never leave your device:

• your unfinished form (so a refresh doesn’t erase it),
• your last draw’s links (so you can resend a lost link),
• the wish list you type on your reveal page,
• in the games: your best score, the sound on/off choice and which vote or improvement buttons you already pressed (games privacy).

Remove them any time with “Forget this draw” or by clearing site data in your browser settings. The site also stores its own files for offline use.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes basic technical data (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver pages and stop attacks. The part of a link after # is not included.

Links to other sites

Links to our sister sites (Starlit Scholar, SIHOO INDUSTRY) include a tag that tells them the visit came from Everyday Useful. No names or personal data are added.

Changes

If we ever add advertising or affiliate links, we will update this page before they go live and label them clearly.
